The Ferrari 328

One of the last Ferraris to be engineered and launched during company founder Enzo Ferrari’s lifetime, the 328 series replaced the immensely popular 308 series in 1985. While still featuring Maranello’s transverse mid-mounted Dino V-8 engine, the new model sported extensive performance and aesthetic upgrades.
Designers at Pininfarina carefully balanced aesthetics with emerging research into drag coefficients and aerodynamic lift while staying true to Ferrari’s design language. Designor Leonardo Fioravanti’s original wedge profile was softened with a redesigned nose complimented by a matching tail valance. Bumpers were painted body color to blend with the valance panels and further modernize the design. Gone were the exhaust air louvers behind the retractable headlights, replaced with a larger front radiator air louvre spanning the lower third of the hood.
Its predecessor’s all-aluminum, naturally aspirated Dino V-8 engine was enlarged to 3.2-liters and fitted with a sophisticated Marelli electronic ignition system while retaining its bulletproof Bosch K-Jetronic fuel-injection system.

This Motorcar

The Ferrari 328 GTS we are offering here is chassis 63385. Supplied new via Ferrari of Barcelona in 1986, this early example example has spent almost its entire life in the Barcelona area. Finished in the very attractive and original Nero with Beige leather interior from new, it has received a complete repaint in 2023 by Ferrari authorized dealer. Although the original service book is no longer with the car, it today comes with a duplicate service book and its whole service history is thankfully still known all the way back since 1986. With the current owner since 2015, 63385 has been the subject of two cam belts services both in 2016 and late 2022 (both performed by authorized Ferrari dealers and including invoices). It is superbly presented throughout, comes with its original owner’s manual and shows 80,250 km on the clock.
The hard top is in excellent condition as well as its leather protection cover behind the seats. This particular example is exceptionally well balanced and is a pure delight to drive. A perfect summer cruiser that needs nothing and ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
